If so, I will upload questionnaires for you to complete before our first visit, so that I am prepared to serve you. We use a HIPPA secure connection for virtual appointments.

Lifestyle Medicine is the evidence based collaboration between clients, providers and other support people. Here is a video by Dr Michael Greger MD of Nutritionfacts.org, author of Daily Dozen app. He explains why this has not been the standard approach to medicine. He is known for lively & detailed weekly podcasts reviewing the latest research while he walks on his treadmill.
Annemarie earned her Bachelors Degree in Nursing at Loma Linda University while also studying Public Health and Nutrition. She has seen success in volunteering to Prevent, Stabilize and Reverse Chronic Diseases so has transitioned to the business of personalized remote visits. Previous experience included Diabetes Care Management, Internation Travel Health, Pediatrics & as a RN in hospitals & clinics.
She is an active member of WellCoaches, American Holistic Nurses Association and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine from which she is a Certified Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner. The Plantrician Project has also been a great resource of research based education. She is also certified thru eCornell Nutrition Studies in Plant Based Nutrition. She is a graduate of Transformative Nurse Coaching Certification Program and eligible to take the AHNA certication exam.
She enjoyed teaching classes onsite at Low Income Housing for food prep of Whole Plant Foods without processed foods like oils. Swich is a free online cooking course that can be personalized so that is a great resoure for food prep skills. Feel free to ask for preparation & spice ideas anytime! Food needs to be fun, flavorful and good for family & friends!
Hobbies include gardening, giving away produce to neighbors, cooking new cuisines, ballroom/swing dancing, weight lifting & swimming. Favorite get aways include Napa, Orange County, the Sierra Foothills & farmlands. Volunteering has been fulfilling with Sacramento Natural Food Co-op, Interfaith Food Alliance, Habitat for Humanity, Celebrate Recovery & the Bayside Family of Churches.
When we expect that lifestyle changes will result in lower blood sugar levels or blood pressure, we may require that the member relay their BP and BG readings to their PCP/MD/NP/PA/CDE for evaluation of medications
